We woke to a layer of snow this morning. It’s been bitterly cold all day, but beautiful blue skies made up for that. I only had time for a few grab shots (too busy throwing snowballs) but it looks like the cold weather is going to be with us for a few days so I hope to take some more photos. The first shots were taken in Darley Park this morning: powdery snow blowing around in the wind, caught in the sunlight. A dusting of snow makes the most mundane objects more attractive.
Around dusk I was up in Holbrook, looking back down the valley as the temperature dropped rapidly.
All shots taken with my Lumix LX3, exposure compensation set to +2/3 of a stop, minimal adjustment in Lightroom (added Graduated Filter to sky).
