Headshots for actors and business are a way of presenting yourself to your clients or potential employers, and so creating the right image is an important part of your marketing. Professional headshots should communicate your key qualities in a single photograph, so it’s important to get it right. With my extensive experience of studio lighting and of shooting portraits over many years I know how to get the right shot with the minimum of fuss.
I have a portable photo studio with paper backgrounds that allows me to be flexible in my approach: I can produce headshots wherever is convenient for you: either in a studio, at work, out on location or even in your own home. It will usually take no more than an hour to shoot the pictures, and can sometimes be done even more quickly, depending on how many “looks” you want to try.
Actors need to keep their headshot up to date – usually a new photo once a year is recommended, and for this reason I aim to keep my prices at a very reasonable level.
Business and corporate clients shouldn’t neglect the need to present themselves in a professional manner either, on your website or on the many social media platforms that are now essential for any business: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Professional headshots tell people that you care about all aspects of your business.
Once you’ve selected your favourite photos an important part of my service is editing and retouching the resulting pictures – vital in creating the right impression. I aim to subtly enhance your appearance without creating a false impression.
