As an experienced events photographer I offer a range of professional event photography services for all kinds of events, from awards ceremonies to PR opportunities, live performances of music and dance, fashion shows, weddings and private parties. I’m able to shoot on location either with my portable studio and lighting kit or simply working with the available lighting. Very often such events require photos for the press, so I’m able to provide a fast turnaround to meet print deadlines.
I love photographing live music, and this aspect of photography has taught me a lot about working in low light and fast moving situations. I pride myself in being able to capture strong images and the atmosphere of the event, whatever the location. Many events require formal shots of guests; more and more however customers are asking me for more informal shots to simply capture the natural feel of event. I can demonstrate example photographs from many events that fall into both categories and am happy to discuss your event and requirements in detail prior to the day. Discussing different ideas and photography can often bring something new to your event that you may not have thought about.
Recent work includes a student celebration evening at Derby College, a press release announcing the appointment of a new design team, a group shot of the directors of a property company, portraits at a 50th birthday party and the awards ceremony at a Derby Working Mens Club. All of these events required me to deal effectively with members of the public, and to work fast in order to capture events as they happened.
