Creative photography in Derby has a high profile thanks to the courses offered by the University and the biennial Format Photography Festival. Being a Derbyshire photographer I am delighted to be a part of that culture: I take photographs all the time, and feel there is no real divide between images produced for my own portfolio and those for clients. I aim to produce professional and creative photographs no matter what the purpose.
I enjoy photography of landscapes both urban and rural, particularly the Peak District, and whenever I get the chance I love to photograph seascapes (not easy when living in Derby). I also enjoy exploring colour and texture in my work. My photos have featured in several exhibitions, most recently “Roads To Wigan Pier” at Impressions Gallery, Bradford.
I have self-published three books of my work, available from Blurb (see the Books page for more information).
